Short answer: Payment for Stripe was disconnected from your Stripe account. The banner is Stripe's, not the app's. To use the app again, finish the transition in your Stripe Dashboard, then sign in to the app.
Why it happens
The full banner reads:
Platform Payment's access has been removed from your account. However, they may have applied settings… Transition your account to reset these settings. Contact Payment if you think this was a mistake.
It means the connection between your Stripe account and Payment for Stripe was ended. That happens when the account is disconnected from payment.co/disconnect, or removed in Stripe. Settings that Payment applied stay on the account until you transition it. Your payments, payouts, customers and products stay in your Stripe account.
If you meant to disconnect
Follow Stripe still says my account is controlled by Payment after disconnecting. It walks through the transition step.
If you didn't, and want to keep using the app
- In your Stripe Dashboard, finish the transition from the banner first.
- Open the app and tap Sign in with Stripe.
- Pick the same Stripe account you used before.
Full steps: Reconnect your Stripe account to the app. If the app starts a new Stripe account instead, see The app asks me to create a new Stripe account.
Not sure who disconnected it? Send us your Stripe account ID (it starts with acct_) and we'll look.
Still stuck? Contact us from the app: open the menu, tap Help, then the mail icon at the top right.
