Short answer: There's one more click: Transition account in your Stripe Dashboard. Until you do it, apps like WooCommerce, MemberPress or Pretix can't connect to your account.
You'll see a banner like this in your Stripe Dashboard:
Complete transition from Payment to manage settings.
Your account has been removed from Payment, but some of their settings may still apply to your account, including those relating to payouts. Complete the transition to manage these settings. Contact Payment at support@pocketvendor.com if you'd like to reconnect instead.
Button: Transition account
How to finish the transition
- Log in to the Stripe Dashboard in a web browser.
- Find the banner that says Complete transition from Payment to manage settings.
- Click Transition account and confirm.
That's it. Your account is a regular Stripe account again, and you can connect whichever platform you like.
Not seeing the banner?
First, make sure the disconnect went through: open Connected applications in your Stripe Dashboard. If Payment for Stripe is still listed, disconnect it at payment.co/disconnect, then come back for the banner. If it isn't listed and Stripe still says your account is controlled, reply to us with your Stripe account ID (it starts with acct_) and we'll sort it out with Stripe.
Created your Stripe account inside the Payment app or our S700 setup?
Those accounts are set up through Payment for Stripe, so releasing one can take an extra step on Stripe's side. Send us your account ID and we'll handle it.
Will I lose anything?
No. Your payments, payouts, customers, and products all stay in your Stripe account. Only Payment's access is removed.
Want to come back later?
Finish the transition first, then sign in to the Payment app again.
