Short answer: open the app, tap Sign in with Stripe, and pick the same Stripe account you used before. That's it — you're reconnected, and your payment history is right where you left it in Stripe.
How do I reconnect?
- Update Payment for Stripe to the latest version and open it.
- Tap Sign in with Stripe on the welcome screen.
- Sign in to Stripe and choose the account you want to take payments with.
- Back in the app, check the account ID in the menu (it starts with acct_) matches the one in your Stripe Dashboard.
If the app says "Your session has expired. Please sign in again.", follow the same steps.
Stripe shows a "Transition account" message.
Finish that first, then sign in to the app again. Details here: Complete Stripe account transition after deauthorization.
I'm signed in but can't take card payments.
That's Stripe asking for something, not the app. You'll see one of these:
- Account setup in progress — tap Complete setup on Stripe and add the details Stripe needs.
- Payments paused by Stripe or Stripe can't accept payments for this account — tap Contact Stripe support. Only Stripe can review and reopen your account. More here: Why are my Payments disabled?
My old payments are missing.
You probably connected a different Stripe account. Here's how to find the right one: Locate missing payments and payouts.
On an Enterprise team?
Don't use Sign in with Stripe. Tap the three-dots menu on the welcome screen and choose Enterprise Login instead. See How do my users log in with their Enterprise account?
New to Payment? Take in-person card payments with your Stripe account. Download the app
