Switch between Stripe accounts in the app

  • Updated

Short answer: you don't need to log out. Add your other Stripe account once, then switch between them from the menu with a tap. Each account keeps its own payments and payouts.

How do I add another account?

  • iPhone and iPad: tap the person icon at the top left, then tap your account at the top (your business name and account ID). If you have more than one account, the list opens — tap Add Account at the bottom.
  • Android: tap the menu icon at the top left, then Add another account under your accounts.

Choose Sign in with Stripe and sign in to the account you want to add. (Enterprise team members choose Enterprise Login instead.)

How do I switch?

  • iPhone and iPad: open the menu, tap your account to show the list, and tap the one you want.
  • Android: open the menu and tap the account in the list at the top. The active one is checked.

How do I know which account I'm using?

The menu shows the active account's name and its Stripe account ID — it starts with acct_. Match it to your Stripe Dashboard to be sure. Seeing different numbers in the Dashboard? Here's why: Locate missing payments and payouts.

Why won't it let me switch?

The app waits while a payment is in progress, and while offline payments are still waiting to sync. Get back online, let them finish, then switch.

How do I remove an account from my phone?

  • iPhone and iPad: in the account list, swipe left on an account you're not using and tap Delete. Or, on the active account, tap Remove Account From This Device.
  • Android: switch to the account, then tap Remove account from device.

Removing only takes the account off this device. It stays connected to Payment for Stripe — to disconnect it for good, see How do I close my account?
