Short answer: Most login trouble comes from one of four things. Stripe's two-step code, the wrong Stripe account, an account that isn't activated yet, or the wrong kind of login.
Stripe asks for a code (2FA)
When you tap Sign in with Stripe, Stripe's own page does the login. If you've turned on two-step verification in Stripe, it asks for your code there. Payment for Stripe never sees your password or your code. If you lost your code device, use Stripe's recovery options on that page or contact Stripe support.
I signed into the wrong account
Signing in with Stripe shows all your accounts. Pick the one you want to collect payments with. To fix a wrong pick, open the menu and add the right one:
- Open the menu and tap Add Account (on Android, Add account).
- Choose Sign in with Stripe and pick the other account from Stripe's list.
- Switch between accounts from the menu. You don't have to log out.
If you pick the account you're already using, the app says:
Same Account
That's the account you're already using. Sign in again and pick a different account from Stripe's list.
Sign in again and choose a different one. To drop an account you don't want, use Remove Account From This Device (Android: Remove account from device). Your Stripe account isn't affected.
Sandbox or test accounts vs live
Connect the live Stripe account you use to get paid. If your account isn't fully activated, the app shows:
Test mode only — activate your Stripe account to process live payments
Finish activation in your Stripe Dashboard and try again.

Your session has expired. Please sign in again.
Sign in again. Your Stripe account is fine. If it happens again and again, update the app to the latest version.
The app asks if this is an enterprise account
Not an enterprise account?
Most people should sign in with Stripe. Enterprise login is only for organizations with a company account.
You tapped Enterprise Login. That's only for staff who got a login from their employer. Most people should tap Sign in with Stripe.
