From time to time, a card reader update may fail midway through installation due to a poor internet connection, or other factors.   You will need to cancel the update, and/or restart your card reader device and attempt the update again.

You may need to restart your wifi network, or try to re-discover the reader. Here is a guide from Stripe with some other steps. https://support.stripe.com/questions/stripe-terminal-application-cannot-connect-to-card-reader-over-wifi
