Short answer: give each staff member their own Enterprise login, and have them log out when they hand the device over. Every card sale is tagged with the email of the person who took it, so you'll always know who rang up what — even on one shared phone or tablet.
Can't we just use the account switcher?
Not for staff. The account switcher moves between different Stripe accounts (say, two separate businesses). Everyone on your Enterprise team charges the same Stripe account, so the device holds one login for it at a time. To change who's selling, log out and log back in.
How do I hand the device to the next person?
- Open the menu — the person icon at the top left on iPhone and iPad, or the menu icon on Android.
- Tap Logout (iPhone and iPad) or Log out (Android).
- On the welcome screen, tap the three-dots menu in the top-right corner and choose Enterprise Login.
- The next person signs in with their own email and password.
Skip Remove Account From This Device for a shift change. Logging out keeps the device's settings and card reader setup; removing erases them.
How do I see who took each sale?
- Enterprise dashboard: sign in at enterprise.payment.co. Team activity lists each team member's charges, volume and when they were last active. Tap Export CSV for a file.
- Stripe Dashboard: open any card payment. Its metadata includes enterprise_email — the login that took it.
Can I sign someone out remotely?
Yes. On the Users page at enterprise.payment.co, use Log out next to a team member, or Log out all users. They're signed out the next time they do anything in the app.
What if my team signs in with Stripe instead?
Stripe only lets Administrators connect apps, and sales aren't tagged per person that way. Payment Enterprise adds charge-only staff logins that can't see your financials or log in to Stripe.
