Updating your BBPOS Chipper 2X BT card reader

The BBPOS Chipper 2X BT can update its firmware over Bluetooth — no cable needed. (It's an older, no-longer-sold reader, but updates still work if you have one.)

  1. Turn the reader on.
  2. Open the menu and go to Connect Card Reader (iOS) or Connect Bluetooth Reader (Android).
  3. When your reader appears in the list, swipe its row to reveal an Update option instead of tapping to connect.
  4. Tap Update and follow the prompts. The reader connects automatically once the update finishes.
