Using the BBPOS Chipper 2X BT card reader on iOS

The BBPOS Chipper 2X BT is an older Bluetooth reader. It still works with the app, but it's no longer sold — newer readers like the Stripe Reader M2 have replaced it. If you already have one, here's how to use it on iOS.

1. Turn the reader on with its power button.
2. Open Payment for Stripe, go to the menu, and tap Connect Card Reader.
3. Under Bluetooth Readers, choose BBPOS Chipper 2X BT and pair the one whose serial number matches your reader.
4. Enter an amount, tap Next, and follow the prompt to tap, insert, or swipe the card. You can also cancel the reader prompt to add a Customer, set up an Authorize Only hold, or enter the card number manually.
