Find your app fees for monthly statements and taxes

  • Updated

Short answer: your monthly statement is Stripe's Balance summary report, and it can break out our app fee line by line. Payment for Stripe doesn't send its own fee statements — the app fee is collected inside Stripe, so Stripe's reports are the record. We don't issue VAT or tax invoices for the app fee.

How do I get a monthly statement?

  1. Open Reports > Balance summary in your Stripe Dashboard.
  2. Set the date range to the month you need.
  3. Tap Export and choose PDF for a statement-style summary, or CSV for a spreadsheet.

How do I see the app fee on each sale?

Export Balance change from activity as an itemized CSV and add the application fee column to the export. That column is the Payment for Stripe fee. The fee column is the total — Stripe's fee plus ours — so subtract the application fee to get Stripe's share.

Don't work it out by multiplying sales by 1.2%. Small sales on newer accounts have a 15¢ minimum, Enterprise plans have their own rate, and partial refunds return part of the fee. The report shows what was actually charged. Fee details: What are the fees for using Stripe and the Payment app?

What about last year?

Same report — just set the date range to the full year. If you're in the US and passed the IRS reporting thresholds, Stripe issues your 1099-K and delivers it in your Stripe Dashboard. See Stripe's 1099 help.

Got more than one Stripe account?

Run the report for each one. Make sure you're looking at the account that matches the ID in the app: Locate missing payments and payouts.

On an Enterprise plan?

Your plan is billed through Stripe. Sign in at enterprise.payment.co, open Billing and tap Manage subscription to see it.
