Creating an invoice

  • Updated

Invoicing lets you send a customer a bill to pay later, instead of charging a card on the spot. To turn it on, open the menu, go to Settings, and switch on Invoicing via email.

To send one, enter an amount on the keypad, then open the payment-method menu and choose Invoice (the same menu also has All Payment Methods, Payment Link, and Authorize Only):

You can total the invoice two ways:

  1. Type in a single amount — the invoice shows one line item.
  2. Pick from your saved Products — each item and quantity shows as its own line, with subtotals.

Then fill in the details — the customer's Email, an optional Name, a Description, and Days until due:

Send it, and Stripe emails your customer a secure link to pay online. Once it's sent, you can void it or send a reminder right in the app, or edit the details in your Stripe Dashboard.
