How can I add tax to my amounts?

You've got two ways to add tax in Payment for Stripe: automatic, or your own manual rate.

Automatic tax (easiest). Open Settings and turn on Collect tax based on zip code. The app then figures out the right sales-tax rate from your customer's ZIP code and adds it to each charge for you — no math, no upkeep.

Once it's on, the tax rate shows right on the charge screen as you ring someone up:

Manual tax rates. Prefer to set your own? You can create fixed Tax Rates in your Stripe Dashboard and apply one to a charge in the app. For most businesses, automatic tax is the simpler way to go.
