The app works with Stripe Terminal readers. Today that's:
- Stripe Reader M2 — pocket-sized Bluetooth reader (US)
- BBPOS WisePad 3 — portable Bluetooth reader, great for travel (everywhere outside the US)
- BBPOS WisePOS E — countertop smart reader (WiFi)
- Stripe Reader S700/S710 — all-in-one smart reader that runs the app on the device
- Stripe Reader T600 — countertop smart reader with an 8-inch customer screen
- Verifone V660p — portable smart reader with a built-in receipt printer, docks for the counter (US)
- Tap to Pay on iPhone and Tap to Pay on Android — no reader needed; accept contactless payments on a supported phone
Which ones you can buy depends on your Stripe account's country. The app only shows the readers Stripe sells there, under Connect Card Reader:
The older BBPOS Chipper 2X BT still works but is no longer sold. Order any current reader from the Stripe Terminal shop at dashboard.stripe.com/terminal/shop — readers bought elsewhere, like Amazon, are locked to other platforms and won't pair.
