Short answer: You can't drag products into a custom order, but you can control it with product names. The app sorts your products alphabetically by name, so a number at the start of each name sets the order.
This works the same on iOS and Android.
How the app sorts
- By product name, A to Z. Capitals don't matter.
- Numbers count by value, so "2 Tea" comes before "10 Cake".
- Products with a fixed price come first. Products where the customer chooses the price are listed after them.
- Products with no name land in a group called Misc.
- If a product has several prices, they stay together under one product, newest price first.
Stripe doesn't have a sort-order field for products, and the app doesn't have a drag-to-reorder option, so names are the lever.
To put your best sellers first
- Open your product in the Stripe Dashboard, or tap Edit products in Stripe in the app.
- Add a number to the front of each name: "1 Coffee", "2 Tea", "3 Muffin".
- Reopen the app's product list. It re-sorts by the new names.
Leave gaps if you might add products later ("10 Coffee", "20 Tea", "30 Muffin") so you can slot a new one between without renaming the rest. Product names show on receipts too, so keep the prefix short.
